• I set up Ibison in 2015 to create an executive search company which prizes lateral thinking and confidentiality. Our focus is on transformational leadership roles and finding smart solutions. We ‘bridge’ different worlds for our clients and find the best people to take them into new spaces. We are now a team of 12+, bringing together different skills and areas of expertise to bring our clients the best possible results.

    My background is in network journalism, TV production and artist management (eg Clare Balding, Gabby Logan, and The Hairy Bikers) and Ibison is the coming together of experience and connections I’ve built throughout my career.

    My interests are my daughter, my dog, spending time with family/friends, and travelling (when I have time!)

Nicola Ibison

Roland Carreras

  • I joined Ibison in September 2021. My objectives are building the Ibison team and implementing effective systems and processes to deliver outstanding results for clients. We recognise that the combination of informed lateral thinkers and concise, accurate data tends to lead to great outcomes. I started my career in the travel industry, working for Thomas Cook and British Airways in corporate travel management. Following this, I joined BUPA, running their occupational health businesses. Prior to joining ITG, I was an equity partner at the specialist agency, Galliard Healthcare Communications. Outside of work I enjoy Masters swimming and tasting wine.

Tim Mitchell

  • It’s a privilege to help Ibison’s clients and candidates find each other, and to play my part helping our expert, fun and passionate team deliver the best possible executive search process we can. Alongside this I work as a career and leadership coach, and I enjoy the additive way this experience and skillset complements and informs our work. I have been working in executive search, coaching and people/hr/talent acquisition management for over twenty years, in London and in New York. My early career was spent in marketing and advertising agencies, in account management, running campaigns for clients in the financial services, FMCG and charity sectors. I am a volunteer Samaritan, and when not working or doing that, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, keeping moderately fit, and tinkering with an old BMW.

Quintin Plane

  • As a Consultant at Ibison, I partner with clients to navigate the complexities of senior talent hiring and development. My work is rooted in the film and TV world, collaborating with industry leaders like BBC Studios, Sky, Amazon, and ITV on critical leadership appointments. Whether the focus is content, commercial strategy, operations, or general management, I pride myself on being a trusted advisor to senior leaders across the global industry. My goal is always the same: to foster lasting relationships and deliver first-rate executive appointments that connect the right talent with the right opportunities. Before joining Ibison, my professional journey included several years supporting the growth of a specialist media and entertainment practice as the TV specialist until it’s eventual acquisition by a global firm.

     

Sophie Cochrane

  • As a Consultant, I spend most of my time building relationships with our clients and executives across the industry; always keeping a pulse on the changing industry. Before joining Ibison, I studied at UCL, completing a BA in Politics and Sociology, and an MA in Environmental Anthropology.

Tom Williams

  •  

    I joined Ibison from Broadcast, where I spoke to commissioners about their latest content priorities and advised producers on how to pitch their brightest projects, while also writing the occasional article. At Ibison, I relish meeting and building relationships with the most exciting executives across the industry while being an ambassador to our clients. When not at my desk, I enjoy hiking in the UK and eternally getting my hopes up supporting Spurs.

Jo Blanket

  • I am the Team Coordinator at Ibison. My career history has mainly been PR focused, although I started out as an Executive Assistant within various media companies. Most recently my role was a Programme Publicity Manager at ITV and Channel 4. In my work-life, I pride myself upon my communication skills, organisational ability, attention to detail, proactivity, nurturing and building long-lasting relationships. In my personal life, my passions are travel, scuba diving and, of course, spending time with friends and family; oh, and I do love a musical and a good drama series!

  • I joined Ibison in 2025 after moving to London from Belfast, where I studied Broadcast Production and worked in digital education. During this time, I had the chance to learn from inspiring professionals in the industry, including filmmakers and journalists, and gained hands-on experience producing a documentary in Donegal. I bring this curiosity and interest in people to my role at Ibison, where I’ve had the opportunity to develop my skills in executive search while working alongside a supportive team. Outside of work, I’m passionate about film, reading, and running.

Francesca Sheppard

  • I am Ibison’s financial controller, working closely with Roland, our COO. I manage the company finances and am responsible for sending invoices, managing payments and, crucially, paying our team! I am very comfortable with back-office systems, credit control and confidentiality. I came on board on day 1 when the company set up in 2015, and before that I was company secretary for a large, family-owned building company, handling contracts ranging from small and bespoke to multi-millions in value.

    In my free time I love cooking, walking in the woodland near to where I live and posting photos of scenes on Instagram. I also negotiate life with two teenagers

Julian Sunley

  • I joined Ibison in 2026. As someone who is passionate about film and television, I enjoy helping clients in this sector to find new talent and grow their team. The process of getting to know candidates at the top of their game, before writing them up in all their complexity, is also one of the job’s main pleasures. Prior to joining Ibison, I studied English and Russian at Oxford, and Russian and Ukrainian at UCL.
